Jobbik welcomes the outcome of the Polish elections

Jobbik Movement for a Better Hungary is glad to receive the news about the victory of Poland's Law and Justice Party in the national elections on Sunday. We congratulate them for this outstanding success and hope that PiS's triumph will open a new chapter in Poland's history.
Law and Justice's achievement is outstanding in the history of post-communist Poland because this is the first time when an election coalition or a party could obtain the majority of parliamentary seats on its own.

We also welcome the fact that our strategic partner Ruch Narodowy will be represented in the Parliament as well, due to the alliance led by Pawel Kukiz. Thus the national radical forces can act as Poland's living conscience to control Law and Justice's government when it may consider options that would be unfavourable for the Polish nation while they can provide stable support for patriotic issues. This is a great opportunity for Warsaw to ensure that positive decisions are made for Poland.

In Jobbik's view, it is another key fact that the political left suffered a smashing defeat in the elections and began drifting towards total disintegration, just like in Hungary. This means that the last remnants of Communism will disappear from the Polish political sphere.

We are living in historic times, Europe and its borders are under pressure of crises and conflicts. Poland's new government and Parliament presents the potential for us to jointly develop a Warsaw-led cooperation of Central Eastern European nations, thus promoting our national interests against the centralizing powers of globalization. Committed neither to the West nor to the East, we hope that Warsaw will be our ally in enforcing our own interests and creating a Europe that is truly based on Christian and traditional values.
